WHO WE ARE

Parental Leave Project Inc. is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization located in Middlebury, Vermont. It is our mission to provide families with inadequate family leave benefits a financial solution for taking time to build a great family foundation.

HOW IT WORKS

Prior to your new family member's arrival, parents complete an application form. Through donations, fundraising and investments, we are able to contribute up to 60% of the projected financial need during family leave.

We have limited funding.

APPLY TODAY TO SECURE YOUR FAMILY's LEAVE

Parental Leave Project offers families who lack paid family leave up to 60% of their income for up to twelve weeks. It is our belief that taking time off to spend with a new child is crucial to a solid and healthy family foundation. No one should have to choose between that and a paycheck. If you are interested in applying, please click on our APPLY FOR FUNDS button to submit an application.

...There is so much to worry about while pregnant. I’m thankful for the support your organization has provided our family. Not having to worry about childcare for the first 12 weeks of my son’s life has been a blessing.”
— Anonymous Mother
I think it’s a wonderful cause. I don’t think I truly understood the challenges that parents face until I had children of my own, but it is such a need.”
